KUCHING: Agencies and departments under various ministries, especially among the state public relation officers, are urged to embrace unity whenever there are programmes being held.

Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Department (Corporate Affairs, Information and Sarawak Public Communications Unit), Datuk Abdullah Saidol stated that especially during the exhibition programmes and events, every explanation needs to be factual.

“That is Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg’s wish, that we need to look out for the sensitivity whenever we got to explain matters related to the initiative by the state government.

“Therefore, it is important for us to provide a truly fair and factual explanation to the visitors of the exhibition, at the right time and place,” he said.

He said this in his speech during the launch of the Making Connection 2023: UKAS x PROS programme at Borneo Cultures Museum in Kuching on Monday (Oct 9).

On another note, he encouraged the agencies and departments to engage more with university students.
