KUCHING: Senate president Tan Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar had an exchange of ideas during a meeting with several members of the House of Lords and Parliament of the United Kingdom in London on Oct 9.
He said a wide range of topics from matters of Parliament to foreign policy were discussed.
“Their lordships are well endowed with knowledge and experiences not only on parliamentary, constitution, law and administration but also on political, social and commonwealth matters,” he said.
Wan Junaidi added his delegation, among others, were accompanied by Malaysia’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, House of Lords included Lord Howell of Guildford, Lord Ranger of Northwood, Lord Grade of Yarmouth, Lord Vaizey of Didcot, Baroness Lea of Lymm, and Lord Kamal of Edmonton.
Also present were DCI Group Senior Counselor Keith Newman and Sime Darby Oils Refinery Liverpool general manager Richard Town.
