KUCHING: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi departed for Kuala Lumpur after a two-day official visit to Sarawak.

He took off from the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) Kuching Air Base at 9.20 am today.

He was seen off by Minister in the Premier’s Department Datuk John Sikie Tayai and Deputy Minister of Transport (Riverine and Marine) Datuk Henry Harry Jinep.

Zahid arrived in Kuching last Tuesday and attended the rural executive councillors and ministers coordination meeting (Mexclub) followed by a visit to the Empurau Borneo Farm and Resort in Serian.

Minister of Food Industry, Commodity and Regional Development (M-FICORD) Datuk Seri Dr Stephen Rundi Utom, Sikie, Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development Datuk Rubiah Wang and M-FICORD Deputy Minister Martin Ben accompanied Zahid during his working visit.
