KUCHING: The Sarawak, Johor and Sabah (SJS) 1.0 Youth Integration Programme concluded after a five-day run filled with various activities aimed at fostering the development of high-quality youth.
Youth, Sport and Entrepreneur Development Ministry (MYSED) permanent secretary Morshidi Fredrick commended the remarkable enthusiasm displayed by the young participants from these three states.
“I saw that what these youth presented today was truly excellent, with a variety of ideas and programmes for the future of our youth. I believe these are our future leaders,” he said.
He made these remarks during a brief speech at the official closing ceremony of the SJS 1.0 Youth Integration Programme held at the Sarawak River Cruise yesterday (Oct 13).
The SJS 1.0 Youth Integration Programme, organised by MySED, is a special initiative to engage and empower youth who are seen as crucial in leading the development of the state and the nation as a whole in the future.
Among the objectives of this programme is to encourage the participation of youth, communities, leaders, and locals to collaborate in creating strong harmony and unity.
Furthermore, it aimed to foster cooperation, mutual assistance, and the conscious and planned creation of a friendly, harmonious, and united atmosphere.
During the event, there was also a meet and greet session with Muay Thai prodigy Johan Ghazali or Jojo.
Also present were MySED deputy permanent secretary Dolhady Mazuki, Johor Youth and Sports Department deputy director Mohd Mazlan Anis and others.
