MIRI: A hornet nest was successfully removed from a water tank tower at Jalan Perlis Utama, Kuala Baram, here on Monday.
The nest had been discovered earlier by members of the public who called the fire department for assistance.
According to the Miri Fire and Rescue Department report, upon receiving a distress call at 6.01 pm, a team of firemen from Lutong station was swiftly mobilised to the scene.
Upon their arrival, they located the nest about 10 feet off the ground on the tower.
The operation concluded in less than 20 minutes.
