KUALA LUMPUR: The 14th edition of Lan Berambeh Anak Sarawak (LBAS) was successfully launched today (Oct 21), drawing thousands of Sarawakians to the event.
The event, held at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), kicked off with a walkabout by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof and Sarawak leaders as they visited various exhibition booths.
LBAS 2023 featured over 61 exhibitors from both private and public agencies, in addition to 44 booths selling products from Sarawak.
This edition marks the largest number of exhibitors and participants since its inception in 2008.
Sarawakian students studying in the Peninsular were among the early attendees, flocking to the 1.5 million square feet centre as early as 8.30am.
Also seen during the launching were Igan MP Ahmad Johnie Zawawi; Kota Samarahan MP Datuk Rubiah Wang; Sibuti MP Lukanisman Awang Sauni; Mukah MP Datuk Seri Hanifah Hajar Taib; Batang Sadong MP Rodiyah Sapiee; Betong MP Richard Rapu; Tanjong Manis MP Yusuf Abdul Wahab; Puncak Borneo MP Datuk Willie Mongin; and Kuala Rajang Assemblyman Len Talif Salleh.
