SIBU: Benjamin Garik Samuel from Kuching has his lucky star to thank for when he was announced as the first prize winner in the second (Season 2) of four lucky draws for the Jimmy Contest 6 organised by Liansin Group.
Hung Ing Song from Sibu and Reneng Alang from Samarahan were named as the second and third prize winner respectively in the announcement made at Swan Square here today (Oct 28).
The remaining two other lucky draws will be held every three months until March 31 next year as part of the ongoing Jimmy Contest 6, offering prizes up to RM250,000 in total and the grand prize of a Honda HRV1.5RS Sports utility vehicle (SUV).
The second draw announced today was for the contest period from July 1 to Sept 30 which gave away a Yamaha 125cc motorbike as the first prize, a Dyson handheld vacuum cleaner as the second prize, an Apple Smart Watch as the third prize and five special prizes of buffalo air fryer.
There were also 100 consolation winners of 10kg Butterfly Fragrant rice, each.
Sibu Member of Parliament Oscar Ling Chai Yew was in attendance to officiate at the event.
In his address, Ling called on the public to participate in this contest to treasure the sense of community which has been fostered among the people.
“I am thankful for the chance to be part of this joyous and remarkable event. Let us all join in celebrating the success of Jimmy Contest 6 Season 2 and treasure the sense of community it has fostered among us.
For those who may not have emerged as winners this time, I want to express my gratitude for your active participation. Your support for Liansin and the Sarawak rice industry is truly invaluable, and I ‘m confident that more opportunities will arise for you to shine in the current Season 3 and the upcoming Season 4 ,” Ling enthused.
Meanwhile, Liansin Group managing director Junaidi Ali said the contest was aimed to reward the loyal customers of Liansin.
“It brings me great joy to witness the tremendous positive impact of this contest which will bring towards the growth and success of the rice industry in Sarawak.
“Personally, I am overwhelmed with the response and support from all of you which show the strong bond we share with our valued customers, partners and the community at large.
“In order to appreciate our loyal customers, this is the reason why Liansin Group held the prize contest,” Juniadi added.
Also present were Liansin Group executive director Datuk Harold Tan and Liansin Group chief operating officer Tan Bong Bu.
