KUCHING: The people should be aware and proactive with the existing and new initiatives introduced by the Sarawak government.
Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian said in moving forward, efforts will continue to be intensified to develop an inclusive and more resilient society.
“The Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS) Roadshow programme is one of the platforms or opportunities for the general public to obtain accurate and authentic information about the latest initiatives and services introduced by the state government.
“Besides that, the general public can obtain information through UKAS official digital platforms such as UKAS Bulletin, UKAS Edition which is channelled through official social media channels such as Facebook, TikTok, Telegram, Instagram and Twitter or X,” he said.
He said this in his speech during the UKAS Roadshow Programme at Aeon Mall Kuching Central here, recently.
Meanwhile, Dr Sim also said that the people of various races and religions in Sarawak would enjoy rapid development in line with the implementation of the Post COVID-19 Development Strategy 2030 (PCDS 2030).
In fact, he said, the people of this state would definitely enjoy economic prosperity driven by data and innovation by 2030.
During the roadshow, a total of eight agencies participated namely the Sarawak Economic Planning Unit, the Sarawak Public Service Digitalisation Unit, the Sarawak State Health Department, the Sarawak Social Welfare Department, the Sarawak Veterinary Services Department, Sarawak Skills, Kuching South City Council (MBKS) and UKAS.
