KUCHING: Fancy experiencing what is being billed as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to indulge in the fusion of culinary artistry and visual creativity?
Underground Dango Club has announced an exquisite mini dining experience namely TanggaLonyoiCerik (TLC) which will take place from Nov 10-12, in collaboration with Tangga2 Duo Art Exhibition.
According to a press release by the club on Sunday, the unique event will take place at Zoey’s Books & Coffee along Carpenter Street, here.
“Tangga2 Duo Art Exhibition, currently in its third week, has captivated art enthusiasts with its thought-provoking displays.
“To complement this remarkable exhibition, Zoey’s Book & Coffee has partnered with local artists D2K and Amy Amin, along with the culinary expertise of Chef Greg Walter, to present a culinary journey like no other,” it said.
Greg, a globetrotter in the food industry, has gathered inspiration from his travels in Australia, the United States and Singapore.
“With nearly a decade of culinary experience, Greg now runs a catering company in Kuching alongside his partner, Ezi Firhan.
“The mini dining experience will feature a carefully curated three-course menu expertly paired with a selection of cocktails and mocktails.
“This harmonious collaboration between art and food promises a unique sensory experience, bridging the gap between artistic expression and culinary creativity,” the club added.
Meanwhile, according to D2K, this collaboration presented a unique challenge in translating visual art into culinary masterpieces.
Amy Amin also expressed her excitement and said representing art on a plate is no small feat.
“It’s a challenging endeavour, and I am thrilled to see how our creations will be interpreted by Greg,” she said.
