KUALA LUMPUR: Terengganu FC II clinched the inaugural Malaysian Football League (MFL) Cup after scoring a late goal to edge Johor Darul Ta’zim II (JDT II) 1-0 in the final at the Kuala Lumpur Football Stadium here Saturday.
Both teams, who were evenly matched, were let down by the poor finishing of their forwards.
In the end, Muhd Isa Raman emerged as the hero for Terengganu FC II when he pounced on a mistake by a JDT II defender, who failed to control a pass from his goalkeeper, to slot home from outside the box in the 87th minute.– BERNAMA
