PUTRAJAYA: Artificial intelligence (AI) can make it easier for Takaful Insurance industry players to increase productivity and deal with customers.

Head of General Takaful Agency, Etiqa General Takaful Berhad, Mohammad Rashidin Razali said Takaful agents need to be prepared to use AI technology, which can help in the process of drawing up agreements with customers.

“If it involves big data like medical and financial history, we have a limit. But, with AI, it will make us more competent as well as increase our ability and capability,” he said at the panel discussion session entitled ‘Battle of the Brains: Agents vs AI – Who will win the Game?’ at the Takaful Leaders and Agents Summit 2023 (TLAS 2023) at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre here yesterday

Prudential BSN Takaful Berhad chief executive officer (CEO) Wan Saifulrizal Wan Ismail concurred, saying that with the assistance of AI, agents can deal with their customers better, besides being able to offer them 24-hour service.
