KUCHING: Interhill Group has forged a collaboration with Sebastian ARTivity Studio, a prominent local art studio in the city, to support and promote the growth of local artistic talent.
This collaboration aims to spotlight the creative endeavours of the studio’s students across diverse platforms and opportunities.
As part of this initiative, a selection of artworks by Sebastian ARTivity Studio’s students is currently on display at the Urban Gallery, a mini art gallery located within the upscale Urban Residences development, Interhill Group’s flagship development at Jalan Central Timur, Kuching.
Interhill Head of Corporate Communications Caroline Yeo expressed the group’s deep appreciation for this collaborative venture.
“As corporate citizens of Sarawak, we would like to contribute in ways we can to add value to our local communities’ lifestyle and work.
“Where art is concerned, we have many talents in Sarawak, and we believe the world needs to know these talents and their work.
“Hence, we are honoured for this collaboration, and we are planning to step up our corporate responsibility initiatives, not only in relation to the local art sector but also other sections of our communities,” she said in a statement.
Local artist and founder of Sebastian ARTivity Studio, Sebastian Jong, conveyed his gratitude to Interhill Group for their proactive involvement.
“Our studio focuses on self-expression through art. As such, we encourage our students to learn art at their own pace and means.
“Our students come from all walks of life and all ages. This collaboration allows our students’ hopes and dreams to be showcased to our communities through their works, and as such, it acts as a strong motivator for our students.
“For Interhill’s sincerity in helping our students and the development of local artists generally, we remain grateful,” he said.
This collaboration signifies a significant stride in the intersection of corporate responsibility and the flourishing local art scene, promising a positive impact on the cultural landscape of Sarawak.
