KOTA BHARU: Kelantan Football Association (KAFA) has confirmed obtaining the service of a former Phnom Phen Crown FC (PPCFC) player, Yuka Suzuki who played in the Cambodian League to strengthen Kelantan in the coming Premier League season.

Its president, Bibi Ramjani Ilias Khan said KAFA would be roping in the 28-year-old player for one season to beef up The Red Warriors (TRW).

“The contract signing ceremony with the player will be held soon and the player is expected to join training with the team on January 1.

“We hope Suzuki would use his experience in the Cambodian League to guide Kelantan’s young team,” she said when contacted here today. Suzuki is the second player after KAFA retained Cassio Francisco De Jesus of Brazil in the defence position.

Earlier, KAFA had confirmed obtaining the service of Melaka United (MU) player, Fauzi Roslan and Mohd Saufi Muhammad to fill the attack and goalkeeper positions.-Bernama
