For desperate times, desperate measures
Whether being reactive, or anticipatory, it’s just contextual
Whether to be calm and measured — or more of an ad hoc,
All in, it will be a rocky ride, destabilising
Take the scenario, let’s just say
When the take is just one action, of point accuracy
The pawn is on board, the old game plan
It’s back to faithful toeing, of the measured line
As for the protagonists — hard time awaits
Some will flip flop, like the usual suspects
Some put up a fight; alas it’s more verbiage than real action
It just takes one targeted action, to bring things back to re-set
Then let’s say — it will be roll back time
Busy will be the newly installed
A puppet on strings, is doing as told
To set back the actions — to the status quo
To continue the earlier millennium march
Don’t be fooled — when Rome is being nice
The outliers beat their cymbals, bravado!
The presumptives hold their ceremonies
Just gestures, and mere pronouncements
Like a school yard bully, made humbled
