SIBU: A total of 162 summonses were issued for a range of offences as part of the Operasi Bersepadu Samseng Jalanan last Friday in the vicinity of Jalan Awang Ramli Amit and the town centre here.

Sibu District Police Chief ACP Zulkipli Suhaili stated that these offences included driving without a licence, structural modifications, exhaust modifications, absence of side mirrors, violations of number plate regulations, and lighting violations.

In addition, 38 motorcycles were confiscated for documentation purposes.

During the operation, a comprehensive examination was conducted on a total of 98 individuals, comprising 89 males and nine females.

Law enforcement authorities advised that the public adhere to traffic regulations. Additionally, parents are urged to supervise and stay informed about their children’s activities to discourage engagement in unlawful pursuits.
