SIMUNJAN: KPJ Kuching Specialist Hospital (KPJ Kuching) and the Forest Department Sarawak (FDS) have collaborated on a tree planting initiative at the Sabal Forest Reserve.
The initiative, held yesterday (Dec 9), marked the planting of 500 saplings of valuable indigenous trees such as belian, meranti, nyatoh, and luis. This activity aligns with the broader “Greening Malaysia Through 100 Million Tree Planting Campaign” and the “Greening Sarawak Campaign,” led by FDS.
The event also witnessed the participation of 70 individuals, including medical professionals from KPJ Kuching, FDS staff, and members of the local community.
In support of the “Greening Sarawak Campaign,” KPJ Kuching extended a RM1,000 sponsorship to the FDS.
