KUCHING: The Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts has always strived to provide a conducive environment where creativity, artistry and the entrepreneurial spirit among Sarawakians can thrive.
Minister Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah said this is crucial to ensure the industry can progress even further.
“Taking the example of YAST Group founder Esther Law, her journey is an inspiring testament to the immense potential that lies within the realm of our local creative industry which is progressing well and on par with others in the country and even on the world stage,” he said during the launching of Esther’s book titled ‘Life Senses’ at Sheraton Hotel here on Monday (Dec 11) night.
“It is exciting for us to witness the unfolding of Esther’s artistic journey and it is our sincere hope that her accomplishments will motivate others and serve as a shining example for those with similar passion.
“Such attributes will also inspire the entrepreneurial ventures of our young generation.”
On another note, he urged the people to embrace the spirit of creativity, the realm of arts, and the limitless potential for entrepreneurial success.
“These can nurture a generation of aspiring artists and entrepreneurs who are blessed with creativity and ingenuity.
Karim commended Esther for sharing her passion and talents using a profound narrative that speaks to the depths of the people’s souls and resonates with the very essence of life’s senses.
“President of Junior Chamber International (JCI) Argenis Angulo’s endorsement of the book is much welcomed because he seen as a leader who has connected with 5,000 communities worldwide.
“His support towards ‘Life Senses’ can elevate the publication to a global platform, transcending cultural boundaries and embracing the hearts of individuals across the globe,” he added.
Karim said through Esther, the book will soon be translated into Chinese, Bahasa Melayu and Bahasa Indonesia.
“This book will then be able to reach a wider audience, providing a gateway for individuals from diverse backgrounds to immerse themselves in the profound expressions of life captured within the book’s chapters,” he added.
Present during the ceremony were Deputy Minister Datuk Sebastian Ting, chief executive officer of Greater Kuching Coordination Development Agencies (GKCDA) Datuk Ik Pahon Joyik, Batu Kitang assemblyman Datuk Lo Khere Chiang, chief executive officer of New Sarawak Tribune and Suara Sarawak Datuk Dr Jeniri Amir and general manager of Centexs Commercial, Shahren Yusri .
