KUCHING: A collection of poems and paintings aptly titled ‘Life Senses’ has been launched to celebrate the gift of life.
“In the serenade of these poems, we shall embark on a journey of introspection and revelation, delving into the intricate emotions, profound connections, and serene moments that define the contours of our lives,”said author Esther Law.
The launching of her Life Senses: A Divine Gift- 54 Collection of Intuitive Painting and Poems at Sheraton Hotel yesterday was officiated by Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Minister Datuk Seri Abdul Karim.
According to Esther, through the paintings, readers may find themselves immersed in a visual symphony that mirrors the essence of the human spirit and the vibrant hues of their sensory encounters.
“This collection serves as a gentle guide, inviting readers to pause and savour the richness of their sensory experiences, to find solace in the ever-present beauty that surrounds them, and to celebrate the extraordinary tapestry of existence,”she said.
She said each poem and painting is a melody that resonates with her heart.
In this instance she said that ‘Life Senses’ is an ode to the magnificence of the human spirit.
“May this collection be a source of solace, inspiration, and guidance, as we navigate the intricacies of our own sensory encounters and revel in the divine gift of being alive,”she added.
Also present were Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Datuk Sebastian Ting, Special Administrative Officer of the Greater Kuching Development Coordination Agency (GKCDA), Datuk Ik Pahon Joyik; Batu Kitang assemblyman, Datuk Lo Khere Chiang, Chief Executive Officer of New Sarawak Tribune and Suara Sarawak, Datuk Dr Jeniri Amir, Centexs Commercial Chief Executive Officer, Shahren Yusri and other representatives.
