SARATOK: The Unity Government has been urged to prioritise action on approved yet unimplemented projects, particularly in the Kalaka constituency.

Kalaka assemblyman Mohamad Duri highlighted critical projects, including the Kupang-Bajau road, the Sungai Krian Bridge (Pagan), and access roads to Kampung Perpat and Paloh projects which are eagerly awaited by local residents.

Mohamad stressed the government’s duty to fulfill its promises, especially regarding the tender process for these projects, slated for early next year.

“The same goes for other projects from the Federal Government. We hope to see more initiatives in the Kalaka constituency,” he told reporters after attending meetings in Kuching recently.

At meetings with Sarawak and Federal Government agencies, he discussed various development initiatives and mentioned that the Sarawak government has several plans underway, some already in preliminary stages.

“As the representative of the people, I bring the voice of the people. That’s why, whatever they request, I consider it important to bring it to the government. In that regard, I really hope that the much-anticipated project can be implemented,” he added.
