SIBU: A human skull, suspected to belong to an adult, was discovered in a drain along Jalan Bukit Assek here on Tuesday (Dec 19).
Sibu police chief ACP Zulkipli Suhaili confirmed the discovery, stating that the skull has been sent to Sibu Hospital’s mortuary for further examination.
“The case is currently under investigation and has been classified as sudden death,” according to ACP Zulkipli.
The skull was reportedly found by workers of Sibu Municipal Council during a drain cleaning operation.
The police were alerted to the scene promptly, initiating an investigation into the matter.
