NEW DELHI: At least four Indian soldiers were killed in a rebel ambush in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district.

Two army vehicles carrying personnel to the location of a military operation against suspected militants in an area called Dera Ki Gali came under attack on Thursday afternoon, Indian media reported.

In the ensuing firefight, four army personnel were killed and three injured, according to a military spokesman.
