KUCHING: The SABERKAS Samariang branch-level Sports Carnival (KASUS) 2023 is a platform to unearth talents among the youth.

In stating this, Samariang assemblywoman Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali said that with several activities organised, it is not impossible to scout talents that can be promoted to a higher level and to represent Sarawak.

“This is the objective of the programme here. We have over 1,000 youths participating in our annual KASUS programme.

“With a programme such as this, not only we will be able to unearth the talents, we will also be able to promote a healthy lifestyle to our youth,” she said.

She said this when attending the closing ceremony for the KASUS 2023 at Pustaka Negeri Sarawak here today.

Having said that, she expressed her hope that the spirit of cooperation to develop the youth of Samariang will be continued for years to come.

For the record, aside from the SABERKAS Sports Carnival, there were also Sarawak United National Youth Organisation (SABERKAS) blood drive, Car Boot Sale, SABERKAS Fun Ride, SABERKAS Youth Talent, and many more.
