JULAU: Two individuals sustained injuries as the vehicle they were travelling in lost control and skidded off the road at Ulu Bakong Pakan yesterday (Dec 26).

According to Julau Civil Defence Forces officer Second Lieutenant (CD) Vincent Jeavie Johntin, the incident occurred at about 4.50 pm as the family of three was heading towards Pakan.

He mentioned that the possibility of the incident being caused by slippery road conditions due to heavy rain was not ruled out.

They received an emergency call at 4.53 pm and promptly directed a team of personnel to the location for assistance.

Upon arrival, it was observed that all victims had been successfully rescued with the aid of the public.

Vincent said two of the victims suffered injuries to their left hands and legs, while the third person escaped unharmed. Subsequently, the injured individuals were taken to the Pakan clinic for additional treatment.

All three victims are believed to have been enroute to their home for a holiday.
