MIRI: Some 200 households in Kampung Haji Waheed flocked to the Rahmah Sales on Saturday as they were on a hunt for essential items sold at 20 to 30 per cent cheaper than retail prices.
The mobile programme organised by Persatuan Prihatin Sibuti and Miri (PPSDM) in collaboration with Miri MP service centre was held at the village’s mosque compound, from 10 am to 2 pm.
Also present was Miri MP Chiew Choon Man.
Among necessities available on sale that day were rice, cooking oil, chicken eggs, instant noodles, vegetables and biscuits.
“The programme is being held as one of measures to assist people from the B40 category who are burdened by the high cost of living,” said Choo when met at the event.
He added, for 2024, more Rahmah Sales will be organised for Miri Parliamentary constituency to assist the rakyat.
