MIRI: The Civil Defence Force (APM) here removed a nest of wasps on Friday in Kampung Bakam, following public complaints about the insects.
According to Miri APM in a report, the discovery was made by a house owner who was about to clean the drain at the back of the property.
The nest was spotted dangling on a tree near his house.
The colony was hiding underneath some branches and camouflaged in the greenery.
A team of APM was mobilised to the scene at 7.14 pm and removed the nest without any untoward incident.
