KUCHING: Works Minister Baru Bian in his New Year message urged everyone to continue to the serve the nation with
dedication.
He said it is hoped for 2019, Sarawak is welcomed with more positiveness and the people would continue to tackle any challenges with strong determination.
“Hopefully with strong determination, economic growth and productivity, political stability the strengthening of racial harmony can be achieved,” he said.
Baru, who is also Sarawak Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) chairman said that 2018 has left a profound effect on every Sarawakian.
“However, don’t let the bad ones be stumbling blocks. Take the good ones as a lesson.
“In that regard, let’s unite our resolve to continue to work hard to improve the nation and continue to foster unity for the sake of harmony and development of our beloved country,” he said.
He also hoped the prayers and ambitions to develop our beloved country can be achieved
successfully.
“I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all my party members, staff at the Ministry of Works Malaysia and the people of Malaysia for their full cooperation in enabling me to carry out my daily duties,” Baru said.
