SARIKEI: The implementation of the Jalan Pasi-Tanjung Manis project is expected to be fully completed by September this year.
Deputy Minister for Urban Planning, Land Administration and Environment Datuk Len Talif Salleh said that once completed, the facility is anticipated to accelerate development across the Kuala Rajang area, simultaneously enhancing the socio-economic status of the local population.
The RM321 million project, funded entirely by the Sarawak government, comprises a 17-kilometre road and a 1.2-kilometre bridge spanning the Batang Rajang River.
“This demonstrates the Sarawak government’s deep concern and commitment to ensuring development in rural areas,” Len stated during his site visit today (Jan 9).
The Kuala Rajang assemblyman expressed his hope for the smooth progress of all projects in his constituency for the benefit of the local community.
