KUCHING: Sarawak is expected to continue experiencing rainfall until Jan 16.
Malaysian Meteorological Department (METMalaysia) said this is based on weather model analyses, with easterly winds expected to persist until Jan 16.
“This condition may lead to an increase in humidity, potentially bringing continuous rain to Sarawak, eastern Sabah, and the eastern peninsula, along with strong winds and rough seas in the South China Sea during this period.
“METMalaysia has issued a continuous rain warning (Caution) in Sarawak effective from Jan 11 to 12,” it said in a statement today.
At the same time, METMalaysia said that thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are potentially occurring in the evening until night in other states.
