KUCHING: Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Professor Dr Sim Kui Hian received a courtesy call from the Chinese community leaders and village chiefs (KMKK) of Sri Aman district at his office in Wisma Bapa Malaysia here, recently.
Earlier, the delegation had visited Deputy Minister for Education, Innovation and Talent Development Datuk Francis Harden Hollis in his office as well.
The courtesy calls were made to officially extend invitations to Dr Sim and Harden to attend a ‘Merarau’ ceremony organised by the KMKK of Sri Aman district which will be held in conjunction with the 2024 Chinese New Year celebration.
In addition, discussions also took place on the way forward to empower the Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) at all levels.
Also present during the courtesy calls were Pemanca Lee Siang Hua, Penghulu Tiong Chong Onn and Kapitan Tay Siaw Chuan.
