BINTULU: The Multipurpose Hall of the Bintulu District Police Headquarters (IPD) will be upgraded under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) of the Tanjong Batu state constituency.

The upgrade includes repairing the cracked wooden stage, fixing damages to the badminton court, air conditioning, and lighting.

Johnny Pang Leong Ming, the Tanjong Batu state assemblyman, stated this after inspecting and handing over the project to the appointed contractor.

He mentioned that the upgrading and modification of the multipurpose hall are expected to be completed within five months. Once the repairs and upgrades are finished, the hall can be utilised for police training and hosting activities such as Police Day.

Additionally, the office of the Narcotics Crime Investigation Department has been expanded and upgraded, providing police officers with a more ideal and conducive working environment.
