BETING MARO: Community Heads and Tribal Heads (KMKK) are urged to plan socioeconomic activities in their respective areas for the year 2024.

Beting Maro assemblyman Razaili Gapor stressed the importance of the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) having comprehensive data and profiles for each village. This, he stated, is essential for identifying household information.

“Not only that, KMKK and JKKK, in collaboration with the Digital Economy Center (PEDi), also play a crucial role in updating data, learning information technology (IT), and assisting residents in filling out government aid forms in their respective areas.

“In addition, KMKK plays a vital role in identifying and addressing problems and issues in the area,” he said during the Beting Maro KMKK meeting held at Dewan Al Amin on Thursday (Jan 11).

Elaborating further, Razaili highlighted the need for KMKK to work in tandem with villagers, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), and agencies to administer projects in the village.

“This is because the project planning to be implemented in their area should align with the wellbeing and wishes of the local people.

“Recognising this, the Sarawak government has provided various facilities and initiatives for the people of Sarawak to ensure they do not miss out on government assistance.”

Therefore, Razaili stressed that KMKK must identify the asnaf groups in their respective areas to ensure they do not miss out on receiving assistance from the government.
