SIBU: The 14th National Mandarin Life Insurance & Financial Planning Summit (ManLIFPS) kicked off here today (Jan 14), drawing 800 Mandarin-speaking life insurance agents and financial advisors from across the country.
The two-day event is taking place at a well-known hotel.
Namlifa president G.Saseedaran praised the Sibu Branch for organising ManLIFPS for the second time in its 14-year history.
“The new year starts with the PITA (Professional Insurance & Takaful Agents) compulsory program. As a certifying body, Namlifa is dedicated to fostering professionalism in the Tied Agency Channel through our mandatory programs, like the CLPM (Cross-Lagged Panel Model),” said Saseedaran when officiating at the summit.
He encouraged attendees to learn more about these initiatives from the Branch and National Office Bearers.
Saseedaran emphasised ManLIFPS’s role in creating a collaborative space for industry professionals to learn, share, and inspire each other. He expressed gratitude to the Sarawak government, sponsors, and supporters for making the event possible and commended the Sibu Branch for their efforts and preparations.
Meanwhile, organising chairman Kapitan Thomas Tiang credited the success of the summit to the strong support from the Business Event (BE) Sarawak and the Department of Tourism, Creative Industry & Performing Arts.
Also present were Dewan Rakyat’s Deputy Speaker and Lanang MP Alice Lau Kiong Yieng, Sibu MP Oscar Ling Chai Yew, and Namlifa Sibu branch chairman Rali Wong.
