SARATOK: An elderly man reported missing in Kampung Beladin since January 16 was found dead yesterday (Jan 19).
Saratok Fire and Rescue Department chief Putra Ila said the 69-year-old victim was discovered on Tanjung Maludam beach around 10:50am by a fisherman.
He noted that half of the victim’s body was recovered, pointing to the region from the waist to the feet.
“The fire department, police, volunteers, and the Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) were informed of the incident and rushed to the location, arriving at 11am,” he said.
He mentioned the body was transported to the Beladin Health Clinic and was identified by the victims family.
Previously, family members reported the victim missing on January 16, after he left home without informing anyone of his destination.
