KUCHING: Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development Minister Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah has encouraged the motorcycle community to inquire about funding for motorcycle events.
Abdul Karim highlighted the ministry’s readiness to support such initiatives.
“We have substantial resources, amounting to millions, dedicated to organising events. We have successfully conducted numerous events in the past, and there’s no issue with organising a large bike festival, as it serves as a means to unite the biking community. However, it requires an effective team capable of presenting proposals to us for internal facilitation,” he said at the grand opening of Kawasaki Kuching’s first A Standard dealership at Travillion Centre today (Jan 20).
Stressing the need for meticulous event execution, he added, “We seek dedicated individuals who excel in it; funding can be provided by us. But it must be executed meticulously.”
Meanwhile, Kevin Law, director of Ghee Hua Company Sdn. Bhd., shared his vision for the industry and community.
“This grand opening signifies more than just an achievement; it symbolises a celebration of partnerships, collaboration, and the collective spirit of everyone involved,” he said.
The event, themed “Ride Together With Us,” aimed to strengthen the bond among motorcycle enthusiasts across Sarawak.
