MIRI: The Mobile Rahmah Sale programme aims to reach out to B40 households in the Bekenu and Lambir state constituencies, according to Sibuti MP Dato Lukanisman Awang Sauni.

“We are planning and will be implementing the programme in these two constituencies (Bekenu and Lambir) next week,” Lukanisman told reporters after launching the Mobile Rahmah Sale programme at the Taman Tunku futsal court today (Jan 21).

Lukanisman (6th from right) stands alongside Matthew (2nd from left) and Ariffin (on Lukanisman’s left) with fellow participants at the program launch.

The programme is a joint collaboration between Sibuti service centre and Sarawak Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN).

“They are also planning to conduct the programme twice a month to enable people to purchase basic daily necessities at prices up to 30 per cent lower than those in the local market.

“Prior to this programme, it was being held at selected supermarkets. However, we want to reach more people, so we go to the communities and organise the programme at selected sites within residential areas,” he added.
