BINTULU: There is an urgent need to upgrade the infrastructure at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) St Anthony here.

Tanjong Batu assemblyman Johnny Pang Leong Ming said this is to ensure the well-being, safety, and comfort of the school community, especially the students.

He mentioned proposed projects include the expansion of covered pedestrian walkways and the installation of drainage culverts as positive steps towards improving child safety.

According to him, these projects will be carried out under this year’s Rural Transformation Project (RTP) and are expected to be completed within six months.

“After reviewing the upgrading proposal, I am very pleased with the efforts made to enhance the covered waiting areas for students. It is important to implement these upgrades for the comfort of parents and students. This project is not just about physical construction but also about the comfort and safety of students,” he explained.

He further stated that he will continue to monitor the progress of this project and provide full support for the bright future of the school in education.
