BINTULU: Firemen managed to persuade a woman in her 20s from attempting suicide at Bintulu Sentral, Jalan Kidurong today.
Passersby who spotted a woman standing at the edge of a roof of a two-storey hotel building in a suspicious manner around 10.07am, reported it to the Bintulu fire station
A team was deployed to the scene and managed to calm the woman down after 20 minutes and brought her away from the scene.
The woman was later handed over to the police for further action.
It is not known what brought the woman to her predicament.
The operation ended at around 10.35am.
