DEBAK: Haemodialysis centres will also be set up in Beladin and Kabong on top of the one planned for Spaoh.

According to Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, the decision was taken during the recent meeting of the Betong Division Development Agency (BDDA).

He revealed that each centre will cost RM5 million and will be built this year.

“BDDA will pay for the construction and the necessary equipment and machines. We will also enhance the existing one in Debak.

“When all these centres are operating, it will reduce the crowd in Betong Hospital and Debak Haemodialysis Centre,” he said after officiating at an education motivational talk for parents and members of parent -teacher associations from seven primary schools here yesterday.

With regard to the programme, Uggah called on parents to do their part in ensuring their children get the best education.

He said it was vital for them to know how best they could supplement teachers’ efforts in educating their children.
