KUCHING: Centre for Excellence Technology Sarawak (CENTEXS) exchanged several Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) during its eighth convocation ceremony held at Centexs Santubong today (Feb 5).
During the ceremony, CENTEXS has exchanged MOU documents with YS Group (University Technology Sarawak; i-CATS University College; Kolej Laila Taib; and YS Internal Education Sdn Bhd); Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS); Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM); Forest Department Sarawak; Sarawak Forestry Corporation; RSK Group, Seameo Voctech; Yayasan Hasanah; Digital Nasional Berhad; Systematic Aviation Services; National Geographic; Budding Readers; and Asia Pacific Professional Development Sdn. Bhd.
The collaboration between CENTEXS and the said parties includes knowledge sharing, teaching and learning, research and development, preservation and conservation of Malaysia’s heritage textiles and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and other areas of cooperation that can bring interest to all amongst others.
“CENTEXS welcomes the support and trust given by the State Government and Yayasan Sarawak in strengthening the Industry and ESG Academy (IESG) and Digital and Green Energy Academy (DGA) training that is beneficial to the industries, public, and local communities.
“The intent is to produce future youths that give a positive impact and is meant for the continuous improvement of Sarawak,” it said.
Following this, the ceremony also saw the introduction of the dynamic duo that embodies the very essence of CENTEXS technical prowess – Proboscis Monkey mascots (Probo and Probee).
According to CENTEXS, the two special characters encapsulate the spirit of innovation and technology excellence at CENTEXS.
“Just as the prolific nature of Probo and Probee mirrors CENTEXS journey of innovation and continuous growth, our institution embraces adaptability, preparing students for the ever-evolving demands of the future,” it said.
