KUCHING: Yang Di-Pertua Negeri Tun Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar made his first official visit to Astana today, after his appointment on January 26.
Accompanied by his wife, Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, their arrival were welcomed by Astana’s Senior Administrative Officer Riziandy Nawawi and his Private Secretary Junih Salleh Ahmad.
During the visit, Wan Junaidi was briefed of his duties by Junih at his office at the Astana.
After the briefing, he proceeded to tour Astana and was briefed on the progress of the renovation works by Riziandy.
For the record, the 153-year old castle which was built by the Second Rajah of Sarawak Charles Brooke in 1870 is currently undergoing minor renovations which will be completed soon.
