BINTULU: The Bintulu branch of the Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) will host their Chinese New Year open house at Dinner World Restaurant in Bintulu on February 15.
Tanjong Batu assemblyman and SUPP Bintulu chairman Johnny Pang Leong Ming said the open house will be graced by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg and his wife, Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tuanku Bujang.
Among the distinguished guests who are also expected to attend are Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian; Transport Minister Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin and Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Deputy Minister Datuk Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew.
Pang said the open house will commence from 9.30 am to 1:00pm adding that it will be the second time that such programme is organised.
“Throughout the programme, various events will be held, including cultural performances, traditional and modern dances, Lion and Dragon Dance performances, Chinese New Year song performances, and more,” he said.
He said this after chairing a meeting to discuss the 2024 Chinese New Year celebration programme at the Tanjong Batu service centre today (Feb 8).
The assemblyman invited all members of the community to attend the open house programme and encouraged attendees to wear appropriate traditional attires.
