MUKAH: A Chinese New Year festival will be held here at Dataran Pehin Setia Raja this Saturday.
Mukah district administrative officer Nolin Gendang said the programme will feature various activities aimed to bring together residents of Mukah and also from surrounding areas.
“These include Lion Dance performances, Dragon Dance, singing, dancing, the Miss Cheongsam competition, and a lucky draw,” she said.
Nolin said the festival will also feature an angpau lucky draw where the first prize winner will receive an angpau worth RM1,888, the second RM888, and the third RM688.
“Not only that, there are various attractive prizes awaiting participants during the festival,” she told Suara Sarawak when interviewed.
She said the festival will be launched by Deputy Minister of Economy cum Member of Parliament for Mukah, Datuk Hanifah Hajar Taib, adding that members of the public are invited to participate and join the festival.
