KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 76 Sarawak Civil Service (SCS) officers received certification as Certified Integrity Officers (CeIO) during the 10th Convocation Ceremony of the CeIO programme.

The ceremony was held at the Tun Hussien Onn Hall, World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur here on Thursday involving 481 officers from the public sector (ministries, statutory bodies, government agencies), government-linked companies (GLCs), and the private sector.

Chief Secretary to the Government, Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali expressed gratitude to the Sarawak government and several other agencies that initiated in-house training for the CeIO programme in collaboration with the Malaysia Anti-Corruption Academy (MACA).

“It is hoped that the certified integrity officers will have an impact on fostering integrity, good governance, and corruption prevention within their respective organisations to ensure the continued relevance and significance of the CeIO programme in the future,” he said in his speech.

Also present were Malaysia Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki and Sarawak Integrity and Ombudsman Unit director Semawi Mohamad.
