KUCHING: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) information chief Datuk Idris Buang has called for Zool Amali Hussin or ‘Bozz Jebat’ to be investigated for using abusive words on two of Sarawak’s leaders.
“Since several reports have been lodged by fellow Sarawakians, I humbly call for the so-called ‘Bozz Jebat’ who made the insulting and outrageous video on Facebook a few days ago to be investigated.
“Clearly, as could be seen in his video upload, by making very insulting and degrading remarks on our Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, he has caused exasperation and provocation that could easily arouse sentiments among Malaysian citizens of Sarawak,” he said in a statement today.
Idris said Zool has abused the social media platform and hence has transgressed Section 233 of the MCMC Act which carries a jail sentence and a hefty fine.
Additionally, Idris said that Zool in the video can be seen insulting the Premier, in particular, which is clearly criminal in nature and a breach of section 504 of the Penal Code.
“I humbly urge that the police will do a quick but thorough investigation to bring this arrogant ‘Jebat’ to the court of law,” he said.
A video on social media recently went viral after Zool made insulting remarks against Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg for supporting the appointment of Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing as a federal minister.
Tiong was also disparaged by Zool for demoting Malaysian Tourism Promotion Board (Tourism Malaysia) director-general Datuk Ammar Abd Ghapar.
