MIRI: Sarawak Governor Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, were seen enjoying breakfast at a local eatery at Jalan Marina here today (Mar 9).
The sight of the couple dining in a relaxed atmosphere surprised many onlookers.
Arriving at the shop promptly at 8.30 am, they settled into their morning meal, indulging in ‘Mee Jawa’ and a variety of ‘Kuih Muih’, local delicacies that reflect the rich culinary heritage of the city.
The visit, which lasted nearly two hours, was accompanied by Deputy Minister for Utility and Telecommunication Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi and Deputy Miri Mayor Cr Arrifin Mohammad.
Dr Wan Junaidi also supported local vendors by purchasing traditional Malay sweets, including two packets of Dodol and one packet of Pulut Sambal.
