SIBU: Sibu Member of Parliament, Oscar Ling Chai Yew’s Service Centre is scheduled to hold yet another special subsidised goods activity, “Jualan Agro Madani”, this Saturday at a longhouse area in front of Rantau Panjang Primary School here.
Ling said that the event is organised in conjunction with the Federal Agricultural Marketing Agency (FAMA) programme that benefits the people.
He said a total of 200 sets of goods would be offered at the event which commences from 8.30 am to 10.30 am on that day.
“It will be on ‘First come, first served’ basis, until the goods are sold out. It is limited to a family per set of specially subsidised items at RM10.
“The items include instant noodles, biscuits, flour, two kilograms of white rice, white sugar and cooking oil wrap.
“Thus, I call upon residents of Rantau Panjang longhouses to grab the golden opportunity to buy the specially subsidised goods to at least reduce the burden of daily life,” he said.
Ling added that similiar events held in the past in and around Sibu area had received overwhelming response from the public.
