MIRI: The police have arrested three foreign men and seized drugs with an estimated street value of RM57,554.17 in a recent raid at an entertainment outlet here.
Miri police chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu has confirmed the arrest in a statement issued last night (Mar 22).
He said the seized drugs weighed a total of 4,313.60 grams.
“The raid was conducted by the police from the Narcotics Crime Investigation department of the Sarawak Contingent Police Headquarters (IPK) around 9pm on Thursday (Mar 21),” Alexson said.
The drugs seized during the operation were Ecstasy, Erimin 5, Ketamine and Magic Mushroom (Psilocybin).
The suspects are currently in custody and will be facing charges related to drug possession and distribution.
The case is being investigated under Section 39B, Section 39A(2), Section 39A(2), and Section 12(2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
