KUCHING: The Satok Community Sports Club (KSK) has contributed 750 school bags and stationery items to students in the Satok constituency through its annual ‘Bag to School’ Programme.

Satok assemblyman Datuk Ibrahim Baki said the programme, now in its eighth year, serves the dual purpose of preparing students for school while lessening financial burdens for parents.

“In addition to equipping students with the necessary supplies, we aim to motivate them and instil motivation for academic success,” he said.

He said this during the handover ceremony at Dewan Haji Kamaruddin here today (Mar 23).

Ibrahim said beneficiaries of this initiative include students from Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Combined, SK Rakyat Bolhassan, Sri Satok Community-based Rehabilitation Centre’s (PDK), Kampung Segedup and Kampung Sungai Maong.
