BEKENU: Every member of Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) plays an important role in introducing the new political entity at the grass roots level.

Women, Family and Childhood Development Assistant Minister Rosey Yunus said it was crucial to enhance awareness now so as to instil confidence and avoid confusion on GPS among the society, especially the voters.

“Now, we have a new home of our own called GPS, and the hornbill logo which signifies Sarawak defending its rights is just like how hornbills are protected,” she said during the second day of the GPS Flag Rally at Bekenu Community Hall yesterday.

Rosey, who is also the Bekenu assemblywoman, said everyone should be given a clear explanation of GPS, especially in its main objective of wanting to gain back Sarawak’s rights.

“Now that we can lead the state on our own, it will not be an easy fight but we must all work hand-in-hand to ensure the people have confidence in us,” she said.
