KUCHING: Five schools in the Bandar Kuching constituency have received a total allocation of RM135,000 to support their annual academic and co-curricular activities.

Its MP Dr Kelvin Yii said the schools benefitting from this funding were SK St. Theresa, which received RM50,000; SK St. Mary and SK Lumba Kuda, each given RM20,000; SMK St. Theresa, also receiving RM20,000; and SMK Padungan, which received RM25,000.

Dr. Yii explained that these funds were intended to enhance student affairs, adding, “I visited the schools last week to personally deliver the funds.”

“Since being elected as MP, I have consistently prioritised the welfare of schools in my constituency,” he said in a statement.

He pointed out his efforts in recent years to improve school facilities and infrastructure at the schools’ request, ensuring a comfortable environment for both learning and teaching.
